Harrison Lake Supply Store – Inkman Store

Harrison Lake Supply Store

open bookThe Inkman store, later known as the Harrison Lake Supply Store, has become a time-honoured institution in Harrison, having occupied the same corner at Esplanade and Hot Spring Road for one hundred and eighteen years (though no longer in the original building.) The Inkman’s early years in business here must have been extremely profitable, coinciding with the mining boom on the Harrison lake and the establishment of the logging camps. Before long they were in position to acquire the property from Joseph Armstrong, from whom they had evidently been renting, and Mary Inkman (Charles’s wife) took title to the land on August 14, 1906.
